Novosibirsk Food Factory Gets FSSC 22000 Certificate
On June 14-15, 2016, inspection audit by SGS confirmed that the factory complies with the FSSC 22000 global scheme.
CERTIFICATION AUDIT of the factory took place on June 14 and 15, 2016. It was performed by the experts of the international certification body of SGS (Switzerland). The audit confirmed that the food safety management system used in the Novosibirsk Food Factory complied with the requirements of FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification.
Background:
In 2007, Novosibirsk Food Factory (Trapeza™) was certified according to ISO 22000:2005, Food Safety Management System. In 2010 and 2013, the factory applied for recertification and successfully passed the compliance audits. Besides it was subject to annual inspection audits by SGS. Since then, our food safety management system has developed and strengthened much, and it was only logical for us to implement the requirements of FSSC 22000.
FSSC 22000 certification scheme includes the requirements that form the basis of many recognized food safety standards and programs such as GMP, HACCP, SQF, BRC, IFS, and GlobalGAP. FSSC 22000 is the most comprehensive food safety management certification system since it incorporates the whole set of the requirements of ISO 22000 as well as such prerequisite programs as ISO/TS 22002-1 and ISO/TS 22002, principles of HACCP, and the steps required for application of the Codex Alimentarius.
FSSC 22000 certification scheme is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). It means that the implementation of a food safety management system and certification of the system it in accordance with the FSSC 22000 scheme will help a company to meet the requirements of many leading global retail chains that are members of the GFSI.
It should be noted that FSSC 22000 certification is a purely voluntary matter, and audits are used to be performed by an independent international certification body. In order to meet each and every requirement of the standard, the factory has implemented various sanitary programs:
- Pest control,
- Allergen management,
- Cross contamination risk management,
- Impurity control,
- Incoming and outgoing control procedures,
- Material and service supplier evaluation and audit processes,
- Safe food development processes,
- etc.
Why is it important?
The implementation of all these programs and other requirements of the current world class food safety standards is not a whim or a brag, but a natural process of creating a high-quality, safe domestic product that is not inferior to the analogues from global brands. Of course, all these actions require financial and material resources, talent pool, human efforts, responsibility and efforts of everyone from the factory, from the director to loaders and cleaners. Nevertheless, we believe that our efforts in the creation of a world-class safety and quality production system will be rewarded handsomely with safe products, respect from the partners, and customer loyalty.
Leading international retailers such as AUCHAN and METRO recognize TRAPEZA as a worthy supplier, having been convinced of the stable quality and safety of its products for quite a time.
The annual growth in sales of TRAPEZA products is yet another evidence of the fact that consumers acknowledge the factory’s products as a good value for money.
We believe that one shall never cut corners on the safety of food. And the global experience in the deployment of advanced systems helps to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
We believe that our intentions will be supported by our suppliers and consumers. Together, we will be able to deal successfully with import substitution, ensure quality of local food products, help the industry develop, and achieve consumer satisfaction.
Thank you very much for your support and understanding!
