Pea & Smoked Meat Soup Mix

Full name of the product: Pea & Smoked Meat Soup Mix
You will need: 600 g boned beef or pork, 50 g dry sausage
Method of Cooking: Simmering in a pot
Ingredients: Premium split peas, dried vegetables (potatoes, onions, carrots, garlic, parsnips), sea salt, dried herbs (parsley, dill), dried spices (black pepper, mustard seed)
Directions:
Step 1. Put the meat into a suitable pot, add 2.5 l of cold water, bring to a boil, cover and simmer over low heat for 60 to 70 minutes, skimming the foam occasionally. Add no salt! | |
Step 2. Take the meat out of the pot, remove bones and excess fat, and chop into small chunks. Strain the broth. | |
Step 3. Return the strained broth to the pot, add the chopped meat and the Pea & Smoked Meat Soup Mix and mix well. | |
Step 4. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer over low heat for 50 to 60 minutes until pea is ready, stirring occasionally. Add 50 g of finely chopped dry sausage 20 minutes before the soup is ready. | |
Step 5. Serve with croutons. |
You may also use any other smoked meat instead of dry sausage.
